Distance

I've come to the conclusion that long distance relationships arent infact relationships at all. whats the point?

- of the constant phoneversations? you talk and talk and talk. Some people might argue that this is infact a good thing- but i think too much of everything is bad. You will end up saying stuff that you should NOT say.

- of being alone in all ways but in your heart. You wake up alone with empty dreams and hope that you'll see each other at some future point

- of not being able to hold hands, watch a movie, just chill, not say anything- just be.

- and the strangest thing about distance is that theres so much space- but not enough of it ( i cant explain this)

I respect everyone that makes the decision to have a long distance relationship. Maybe it's just me. Maybe i'm just not strong enough to live on a diet of words and space. 'i miss you's' and 'i wish you were here'

But then maybe its just me

xx

IT DOES NOT WORK. I am in one right now and its slowly driving me out of my mind. Urghhhh. But what can you do if you are in love. Space o, the space is massive but the love you shared before refuses to let you go.

Any relationship can work provided both parties are willing to make it work and are both committed to the relationship. That is all that is needed to sustain any relationship whether long or short term. You can practically live next door to someone and it can still not work, you could be in two seperate continents time zones etc and it can work. The practical stuff like distance dont matter much, its the emotional stuff ie how committed 2 each other that counts.

I'm in a long distance relationship now but we are taking things slow basically just being committed to each other, living everyday as it comes and hoping we can have a real relationship soon!

Can't see myself with anyone else so its had to break it since I now in some months I'll want him back!

Its rally hard I pray everyday.

I need the space especially at the phase my life is in lod distance is har but sometimes good!

It does work but it takes 2, it's also dependent on how much time you spend apart though...cos it slowly leads to 'out of mind'...

I've done it before and it was good..yet hell...

Would i do it again? NO!! it's not worth the emotional strain!

You get the space but what do you do with it? once there's a lil trust issue..the rest is hell..

Explanations for the missed phonecalls, the voices in the background...and on and on

But life's just too complicated mein..

If you guys will be seperated for more than a year (time does fly sometimes) tops..i strongly suggest you both slowly end it...

ps: I was MIA? what happened to you then?

It works, only when a foundation has been built. maybe been together, seen each oda for a long time.

Anyways, LDR's r not for everyone. U have no problem if u cant handle one.

If it can be avoided then it should.

@ sirius like it can be totally avoided...we can't help who we love and that's the truth...

"on a diet of love and space"-I like that. I think long distance relationships can work, if the relationship didn't start out as a long distance relationship. I think if you've dated the person face-to-face for a while then theres a chance it could work with a lot of hard work. Now, what I dont believe in is these facebook relationships, and etc.
How r u flabby?! Im sorry I stayed aways so long...was working on my thesis...but Im back!

I am so guilty as I am in one right now and hanging by the thread... Its really easy to think it's not worth the stress

These were my thoughts when I decided to break up my so-called relationship. It's seems almost cowardly that one will want to be in an emotional relationship with someone that is thousands of miles away.

Yea...the distance sucks

how are you sweets?
